Blog 4. My future job

A job that I would like to have is one that allows me to travel the world doing what I like. I imagine myself in a concrete way working on international electoral observation missions.

While it’s not an outdoor job, it does allow you to travel a lot around the world. Every week in different parts of the world there are elections, and people are needed who can go and see if those elections are legitimate or not.

Although money is not the most important thing, this job is very well paid since everything that means traveling and staying in the different countries is paid for by the organizers of the election. I would like a salary that allows me to live well for myself and my family, but also that allows me to take advantage of each trip.

Today I study Political Science, which is an ad-hoc career for this job, I like it a lot and it's really what I want to do. However, other jobs that I would like: be a Professor teaching what I like, or also go to the media, especially going to different TV channels to explain various political events of relevance in Chile or the world, but above all what else I like, the elections.

Blog 2: Pets. I want a capybara

Hi classmates!  Write about my favourite pet is complex because i never had one. But, today i can talk about my favourite animal, although is a unknown to us. I clearly mean a pet that's not Chilean, but last year it became world famous: the Capybaras.  The Capybaras (or capy) are a big rodents who live in a great part of South America. Unfortunately, we don't have native specimens in Chile, because it's an animal of tropical climate. They are very cute, have a barrel-shaped body and a small head, with a reddish-brown fur on the upper part of the body that turns yellow. I would have a capybara because they are adorable, very tame, and also because they love their owners very much. They are also one of the most relaxed animals in the world. I would like very soon, at some point in my life to have one. I would love him very much, and name him Capy.  Capybaras became very famous on the internet. In fact, they are the protagonists of many memes on instagra...

Blog 3. Favorite Series/Movie

My favorite series is The Office, because is a comedy series that reflects very well the human relations in a group where one develops, The Office is considered as a cult series.   The series is about everything that happens in a Paper Office located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, named Dunder Mifflin, the series is exhibited into a sort of “reality show” inside the office, from the time they to arrive to work, until went to go to this houses or go to the after office. The genre is the comedy, and this is one of the series most famous and popular in this. My favorite character is Michael Scott, The Boss. He’s a very wacky boss, very misplaced with their employees, in a sense of humor very particular and out of context, another characters that I like is the couple of Jim and Pam. The series was showed for nine seasons and almost two hundred episodes, today you can watch it in an online video platform Amazon Prime. This series I don’t see very often but every summer in vacations, is...

Blog 6: English Language Challenges

I like the English platform, the way it approaches learning in the three courses I have had, it has served me a lot, without a doubt it has given me tools to strengthen learning. Personally, in terms of evaluations, I do not like blogs very much, I am not comfortable with the format having virtual and remote classes, perhaps the program should move to other formats, such as videos, which I liked a lot, I feel that I learned a lot , because one not only has to prepare, speak well, slowly and modulated, but also one sees how the various attempts are left, until the best version turns out. What I definitely need to improve in my English is to reach an advanced level, applied to what the social sciences are, which is the area where I want to work and which serves me for many courses, since much of the bibliography is in English. I still find it difficult to read a text or a work fluently, that makes these readings very slow and it is difficult for me to advance in the development of ...
